Project: Strengthening capacities in climate change for boys, girls, young people and creating a climate knowledge hub in Panama

Strengthen capacities and knowledge on climate change, with an inclusive and multidisciplinary approach aimed at young people and the public with the purpose of promoting climate awareness and promoting the adoption of effective policies and strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change and adapt to its consequences.

  • Online Academy on Climate Change for Young Leaders: a six week immersive and assisted collaborative program positioning young professionals towards climate-related carriers
  • Alumni Program: A mechanism to track graduates of previous courses and continue strengthening their skills through workshops, courses, activities, and networking opportunities will be implemented throughout the project.
  • Guidelines for primary and secondary school teachers: Design, develop and validate four (4) teaching guides that allow the strengthening of technical capacities in teachers of educational centers, official and private, regarding the mainstreaming of Climate Change content in the Panamanian education curriculum.
  • Climate Knowledge Hub: A comprehensive digital platform designed to centralize and provide accessible, up-to-date educational resources and information on climate change to facilitate understanding and inform mitigation strategies for diverse audiences.
  • Art Contest for the youth: Aiming to educate and raise awareness about the urgency of climate change, this contest empowers youth to express their concerns, celebrates their creativity, and fosters community dialogue to inspire tangible solutions.
  • 2 Online Climate Change Academies between 2024 and 2025 of up to 40 students each
  • A new and updated Knowledge Hub providing access to information on climate change, climate finance, mainstreaming gender, adaptation, mitigation and much more!
  • An Art book highlighting the best Climate Change draws from the youth contest.
  • 4 new Climate Change Guides for school teachers.
  • Capacity building program and Bootcamp for Climate Change Academy Alumni network.
